Become a Friend of Vermont SRTS
Becoming a Friend of the Safe Routes to School Resource Center means many things. Primarily it means your goal and mission of your organization is in line and supports the Safe Routes to School movement in Vermont. It also means you may be able to assist schools in Vermont with bike safey skills, low cost incentive items, enforcement activities, or just would like to help spread the word of Safe Routes to School.
Examples of ways that Friends of Vermont's SRTS can demonstrate support for the program include:
- A statement of support and link to the Vermont SRTS program on their website
- Joint promotion activities
- Provide exhibit space at no cost at their conferences
- Include SRTS as an agenda topic at a conference or large meeting
- Serve as a team member on a school SRTS team
- Provide in-kind staff or tangible resources to the local school program (i.e. grocery store providing bananas for WTS Day)
We will recognize all of our Friends in our newsletter and on our website here. Please contact Abby Mattera, State Outreach Manager to find out how to become a friend at 802-598-8651 or Abby@saferoutesvt.org
